Escape to the Riviera by Jules Wake

During last week’s heat wave I sat in the garden and was transported to the south of France by reading Jules Wake’s ‘Escape to the Riviera’. It was cheaper  than flying there and just as uplifting.

All the characters in the book are engaging and believable, and I liked the fact that the two romantic leads, Carrie and Richard, are already married, but we still have the will-they-won’t-they aspect of their intense relationship as they decide whether to stick together or not. I also enjoyed Carrie rediscovering who she really is under her layers of self-imposed respectability.

Yes, truly an engrossing sun-filled summer  escape. WP_20160728_002
